Evolution of Watsons Store Experience

1841

Hong Kong is a brand-new city. Our forerunner Hong Kong Dispensary opens its door, full of purpose, caring for the community
                                                                                         

1987

Watsons opened its 1st generation store in 1987.

1989

Two years later, in 1989, the 2nd generation stores marked a major milestone by expanding internationally to Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

2003

Watsons opens its 3rd generation store in Hong Kong.
                                                                                         

2005

Watsons 4th generation store focuses design in Health & Beauty.

2007

The 5th generation store showcases a sleek, modern design.

2012

The 6th generation store introduced color zoning with LED wall wash effects and key visuals featuring zone-specific taglines above wall fixtures.

2015

The 7th generation store undergoes rebranding efforts and moved design to be Customer-led.

2019

The 8th generation store enhanced zone differentiation using varied colors and materials to incorporate O+O relevance.

2022-present

Our 9th generation store redefine traditional retail incorporating O+O elements and innovative spaces immersing customers in the world of Health, Beauty and Wellness.
